$0 to $10K - My Way, Update # 9

Grinding. In Poker parlance; "to Grind" is to spend hours and  hours playing Poker online or Live in an effort to obtain an acceptable hourly rate of pay. It really is a grind as the nature of the game requires inordinate amounts of time. You will notice that at the World Series of Poker, over the last few years, the final table players are all in their twenties! Who else has the time available to devote to this game. Some tournaments last days, other short ones are around 4-5 hours. You have to be single, with no responsibilities to be able to devote the time necessary to reach the highest levels - and make the most $$.

Unles you are retired! It seems that I have some spare time to "Grind". This is what I have been doing over the last few months on my $0 to $10K challenge.

I just reached a nice milestone - $100. It doesn't sound like much, but it is the first step I need to play for higher limits. The nature of Micro stakes (Penny Poker) is such that you just can't get ahead very quickly - nor can you loose very much very quickly.

Using my "5% of my Bankroll" Buy-In rule for Cash or SnG's and "2% of my Bankroll" for Multi Table Tournaments (MTT's), I'll be able to play some $5.00 games now. Should I win the profit is proportionally greater.  So, I am moving up!

Here is my latest chart.
The recent spike is due to a nice win in a 133 person game. I got 1st and won $48.45. A nice jump up in winnings. I am now at $107.11 The buy-in was $2.20.

The grind continues!
P.S. I had a nice cash at my regular Friday night Poker game at the York Region Poker League - 3rd for $600.
