I went from $249.63 on Feb 1, to $168.54 on February 29. A loss of 32%. Ouch. It is even worse if you consider my February (and all-time) high of $291.67.
So what happened. Varience?, Arrogance? (after all I just cashed big time in live tourney's) Maybe a bit of both.
In any case I didn't go 'broke' as my bankroll management techniques have kept me in the game. I reviewed my game and it appears there were many factors at play. Variance or 'luck' was the largest. But, I was also getting very sloppy in my play. Most of the loss came from playing some cash games. I was playing stupid poker. In small stakes Poker, when somebody makes a big bet - one should believe them. They are not usually bluffing. I wasn't a believer in February and it cost me. I have corrected that. I played a 'maniac' style of Poker and lost.
So, I changed my game, returned back to some old fashioned tight, but aggressive poker and I have started my turn around. (Note the nice spike on March 1.)
The challenge continues, and my live tournament play continues.
