$0 to $10K - My Way, Update # 12

Please click the video above and enjoy as you read the blog.

So M and I are cruising the beautiful blue Danube river, in search of Christmas markets. Budapest, Vienna, Melk, Linz, Passau, Regensburg, Nuremberg and Mainz (Frankfurt).

It was really quite wonderful, except the Internet connection on the good ship Amadolce was a 3G connection with Satellite backup. The result was spotty Internet at best as every bridge and lock and between cities caused loss of signal. Not a good thing when you are playing online Poker. As a result I played little and the graph below is fairly flat in mid December.

The rest of December was pretty good and then pretty awful. I peaked at $191.30 on 28Dec but then the ugly variance took over and I went down to $147.88 just two days later. I re-evaluated my game - I was getting too loose! I stuck with my strict bankroll management, went back to playing tight Poker (playing less hands) and was able to climb to $173.87 on New Year's eve. (My resolution is to not make Resolutions!)

Here's the chart:

It took two months to reach $100, One month to $191; I hope the acceleration continues. I am still at small stakes as a $173 bankroll means I can play Multi-Table Tournaments (MTT's) up to 2% of bankroll or a $3.40 entry fee. I can play Single -Table Tournaments up to 5% or $8.50 per entry.

The "On My Way to $10K" project continues in 2012.

I'll play the Fallsview Poker Classic $1K Main Event, February, 8-13 in Niagara Falls.

I'll analyse my game and provide some stats for the next update.
