Hello from Las Vegas

I had a bumpy flight from Toronto. Maybe If I was flying it would have been smooth. Probably not as we had to cross a cold front over the Midwest and even I would have been unable to find smooth air. It is cold in Vegas, but promises to heat up - Today, Saturday - Tournament day.

I met all those that arrived from Montreal in the baggage area of Las Vegas airport and we all (20 players and friends) headed out on a big bus to the famous Las Vegas Sign for a photo Shoot.

The TV producer was with us and wanted a shot of everyone arriving in Las Vegas.

Next we drove to the Golden Nugget for check-in followed by personal TV interviews of each player. The interview lasted about 15 minutes. They had all us dressed in Full Tilt Hockey sweaters, so I couldn't wear my CAPT colours - sorry Kelly. I was able to sneak in some Credit for the CAPT tour during my interview, so I hope that doesn't get bleeped. Of course, only if I do really well will they show my interview. Most of the video will be on the cutting room floor, unless I win! The TV show for the Montreal Open should go to air around the end of August and then replay throughout the year - no specific dates yet.

We all then met for dinner- all very nice.

Oh, I blew $160 playing $1/$2 NLHE in about 6 hands. The table was very wild - Betting went something like this $1, $2, $10, I raise to $25 in the cutoff, call from SB, $45 raise fro BB, call, call, whew!!. I reraised all-in for $150, call call, call and we have 4 players for the flop. Much too many for my liking, with pocket QQ's, but a big pot. Somebody must have KK or AA, right? No, it's my QQ's against A9, Aj, KJs and so on. The KJs hits his flush and I am done for the night.

I tried to limit the field, got it in good, but, no good. That's Poker!

I need a good sleep. I am looking forward to our 8 hours of Tourney play tomorrow - 8 hours if I make it all the way.

I'll report again, as soon as I can

Regards,
Kevin ("CaptainKH")
